Confined Space Training

Dangan Training provides specialist confined space health and safety education and support, to some of Ireland's largest companies and organisations working in confined spaces, at extreme height or within hazardous environments.

A confined space is described as an enclosed or partially enclosed space such as storage tanks, pressure vessels, pipes, boilers and sewers. This training provides you with the essential skills and knowledge of how to identify a confined space and to assess risks associated with a confined space environment.

The overall objective of this training is to protect those entering or working around a confined space. In this course you will learn the physical, chemical, and biological principles related to safe working with confined spaces.

Intended for:

Any worker who may potentially need to work in a confined space as described above, will need to have some form of confined space training, depending on the level of work needed. Examples of workers who may need confined space training include firefighters, construction workers, maintenance technicians, building engineers, lab technicians, welders, pipeline workers, HVAC technicians, emergency response personnel, and many more.

Manual Handling

Learn the importance of proper manual handling techniques to maintaining a safe work environment. Manual Handling, also known as manual tasks, is any activity requiring effort to lift, move, push, pull, carry, hold or restrain any object, including a person or animal. Poor manual handling practice is one of the most common causes of injury in the workplace and the injuries can be disabling and costly. Dangan Training’s Manual Handling course will teach you how to safely identify, plan and perform manual handling tasks to maintain an injury-free workplace.

Intended for:

Any-one whose work includes Manual Handling activities i.e. the transporting or supporting of loads that includes lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving of heavy or awkward loads, where those activities are likely to lead to back injury.

This manual handling training course is a superb way to show your staff how to lift safely in a high impact course... in a practical environment! Once your staff have attended this manual handling training course, they will know have to look after their back properly and to move loads with safety and confidence. Your business will also be protected from the cost absenteeism, litigation and the risk of short term or long term back injuries are greatly reduced.


This training program will provide potential operators of specified MEWP's the information knowledge and skills required to enable them to operate such equipment safely and effectively and to insure the safety of any other person working within the machine.

Our certified instructors have over 20 years practice and expertise in the safe operation and training across all categories of access machinery.

Safe Pass

The Safe Pass Programme is a Safety Awareness training programme aimed at all construction site personnel, including new entrants, to ensure that they have a basic knowledge of health and safety.

Working Charge hands
On-site Security Workers
Contractors Drivers On-site

Upon completion of our Safe Pass Courses, all Trainees will have a basic knowledge of Health and Safety and be able to work on-site without being a risk to themselves or others who might be affected by their acts or omissions.
